The launch of the new Winthrop Washington website, www.winthropwashington.com, was a great kick-off to the summer season. At our next general membership Chamber meeting, 8:30 am, Thursday, July 11 at the Winthrop Barn, Kristen Smith, Winthrop’s Marketing Director, will introduce the new site, highlight its attributes, and share how members can connect the 150,000 plus unique visitors winthropwashington.com to your respective businesses and websites.
As a community and a Chamber, we’ve been doing a fabulous job attracting visitors to Winthrop and the Methow Valley. Many local businesses have also been visionary in helping create a vibrant streetscape in downtown, offering unique products and creating memorable experiences. We have been so successful that the Town of Winthrop needs our help in shaping guidelines for sidewalk seating and other amenities. Mayor Dave Acheson and Planner Rocklynn Culp will attend our meeting, share some of the challenges that have been brought to their attention and solicit your ideas to help maintain a great sidewalk experience.
