Lost Wedding Ring : FOUND!

KUDOS to Brittney at the Old School House Brewery for finding and returning this ring!  Winthrop Rocks!

My husband and I were in Winthrop on Saturday, May 17.  We parked by the old gas station in town and walked to the Old Schoolhouse Restaurant for lunch.  My husband used the public washroom behind the tourist info centre as well.  Unfortunately, he lost his wedding ring somewhere in the area.  On the off chance an honest citizen/tourist finds it and turns it in to the tourist centre or any sort of lost and found in the area, we would be ever grateful to have it returned.  The ring is gold, cornered at the top and slightly wider.  There is a white gold strip across one edge of the top of the ring and 6 small diamond chips set in the white gold.  I know it’s a long shot, but “if” it shows up, we would like to be contacted.   Can you also share this request with any agency in the town that may be a regular drop off for lost and found.

In addition to the '49er Day Crowd over 600 runners will be in town

Heads up for business owners...

In addition to the visitors in town for the '49er Day event May 10th.  MVSTA's Sunflower Marathon and Relay will also be taking place.  This trail run goes from Mazama to Winthrop and will have over 600 participants.

Another round of 600 runners will be in town the next weekend, May 17 & 18 for the Sun Mountain 25k, 50k and 50 mile running race at Sun Mountain hosted by Rainshadow Running.

Of course with these runs, participants also bring their family and friends.
