Even from day #1 Blues Festival hasn't always been supported

Methow Grist just published a great story on the 25 year history of the Rhythm and Blues Festival.

It's interesting to note (no pun intended) that the Blues Festival has always struggled with acceptance by the community.

While the large economic impact to local business is obvious what many people do not realize is that  many local non-profits such as The Cove, Little Star Montessori School and the Methow Valley School District's Music Program are also receive donations from the Festival promoters. That's music to many peoples ears!

Enjoy the weekend.
